BodyWise offers another level of assistance through personal training. Our certified personal trainers will work with you one-on-one to help you achieve your goals. These professionals will motivate, teach, and inspire you to reach your ultimate fitness goals. Your needs are unique and a one-size-fits-all approach to coaching isn’t going to cut it. Personal training allows us to customize your program for you!
These one-on-one conditions allow our trainers to focus on every detail of your lift, form, run or jump to truly maximize your results. We are known for supporting clients to transform into lean, healthy, and at the top of their game. And a bonus: Fitness journeys don’t follow a straight line. We will bring you back if you detour and help you to feel confident about the journey getting there.

Kay Sconci
Owner and Personal Trainer
Born and raised a true Austinite - that’s me. In 1983, weighing 165 lbs, size 13/14, and inching my way up to an ugly size 16, I started a workout program. On a Monday evening in May, I walked into Big Steve’s Gym in South Austin and never looked back. Now 34 years later, and 25 years owning and managing BodyWise Gym, I still love what I do more than ever. I am dedicated to both my gym and my members.
My skills and specialties in fitness encompass a wide range from marathon training, triathlons, road biking to body building. I have trained all ages, from 13 to 87 in all shapes, sizes and levels of fitness. My challenge to myself is to get each client to achieve their personal goals and a few of my own goals for them.

Don Hardwick
Owner and Personal Trainer
I have been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for the past 21 years. I graduated from The University of Texas in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. After graduation, I began working in the health and wellness industry and got my personal training certificate through American Council on Exercise. I continue to expand my knowledge of exercise with additional education and training.

I train people with all types of goals ranging from general fitness and weight loss to sport specific training. I enjoy utilizing a high-energy style of training. I incorporate both weights and functional core exercises to improve my client’s fitness. A training routine should be designed to create muscular balance as well as improve all areas of one’s fitness, including; strength, endurance, aerobic conditioning, flexibility, agility, balance and coordination. My main goal is to help each client I work with reach their individual goals and to enhance their lives through exercise and a healthy life style.

A little bit about me: I’m an Austin, Texas native, military veteran, and huge MMA fan. Fitness has always been my passion, whether it’s training hard in the gym or staying inspired by the fighters I admire. I love spending my free time hanging with my friends and family watching movies running, hiking, snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and going to thrift stores. Let’s work together to reach your fitness goals and make it happen!
